About Me and my Workshops

I'm Lynne, Mum of two lovely girls and contestant on the 'BBC2' show "The Great Interior Designer Challenge". I am passionate about all things interior, vintage and salvage. My home is used as a location shoot and has become a showcase for a lot of my work. I love up-cycling old pieces of furniture to create unique pieces for peoples homes. If I am  not on the school run, then I am busy scouring antique markets and junk shops to find unique and interesting pieces for your home. You might find me sewing, painting or wallpapering ... oh, and my guilty pleasure is watch Salvage Hunters on TV.!

My work has appeared in the book 'The Great Interior Design Challenge' and Ideal Home Magazine October 2013. The bathroom I designed appeared in Homes and Gardens Magazine inspired bathroom section this year. I have just recently been working assisting the judge Sophie Robinson from 'The Great Interior Design Challenge' styling the room sets for the Ideal Home Magazine at the Ideal Home show 2014 which was a great experience. I am also thrilled that July 2014 edition of '25 beautiful Homes Magazine' features the bathroom i designed as their 'Room Envy' feature. Last month my home was featured on ACHICA in their 'home inspiration' house tours section and Exclusive Magazine did a feature on my Up-Cycling courses. Essentials Magazine also featured the my childrens bedroom design so I have been a but busy of late!

I run learn 'Learn to Paint and Up-cycle Furniture days' from my workshop in Henley on Thames and during the school holidays run children s 'Craft and Up-cycle Bootcamps' hopefully inspiring them to join the up-cycling and salvage craze that i enjoy so much.

If you would like more details about the workshops then don't hesitate to call Lynne or e-mail .

The name 'Love Nellie' was inspired by my Nain (welsh for Granny) Nellie Morgans. Nellie was an inspiration to me, always sewing, upholstering, painting and making welsh cakes. I admired her greatly not only for her crafty skills but for her zest and 'give it a go' attitude. I like to think she would be very proud of my up-cycling skills.

Since moving out of London I have also started a Local Company with my business partner Sarah Kirk called the The Love Local Market is based in the Town Hall in Henley-on-Thames.  The market showcases local artisans and small business that would  ordinarily never be able to afford a shop and have a high street presence. We noticed that there were so many talented and creative people locally and we wanted to give them an opportunity to showcase their work. The market has now acquired quite a following from far and wide as it has a reputation for quality and unique things. During my work with the market I have often come across many lovely things, some of which I now stock on my website.
